The Nerazzurri striker spoke following the winter break: "We've got an excellent squad. We're ready for all the competitions that are coming up"

APPIANO GENTILE – Following the winter break, Keita Balde spoke to Sky Sport just a few days before Inter vs. Benevento. Here’s what he had to say: "It was important to win in Empoli to finish the year off well, now we have to focus on starting this year off in a similar fashion as well as trying to do even better and exceeding expectations.

"When you begin to score your first goals, further goals follow as a consequence of that. I knew what I had in my locker, a bit of patience was simply required. I hope that I can carry on doing what I’m doing. I work hard, look to do well and concentrate on what I do best every day. When it comes to what has happened come the end of the season, only time will tell."

Keita then commented on his relationship with the rest of the squad: "I like to have fun and joke around, and I’ve been welcomed with open arms at Inter. We are one big family. I also feel comfortable out on the pitch and always try to help out my teammates by doing the best I can. I consider it important to be able to speak a number of languages so you are able to communicate better with your teammates."

As regards the season so far: "We’re working really well together when all aspects are considered. Inter are a great club – a club that is getting better year after year. We will give it our all and have a great squad, meaning we’ll be able to face all the competitions we have coming up head-on. We really want to do well."

Finally, he had a message for all our young fans: "Not everybody has the same level of education, and each one of us is aware of our own actions, whether they are bad or good. Learn the good things when it comes to football, because there are a lot of them: how it’s played as well as showing respect are both key."
