Salcedo, Colidio, Merola and Esposito got the goals as the Nerazzurri U19 side triumphed in the Derby Milano on matchday 24

SESTO SAN GIOVANNI - The Nerazzurri’s Under-19s today repeated the First Team’s derby heroics during their Derby Milano on matchday 24 in Primavera 1 TIM – and MILAN IS STILL NERAZZURRO! There was plenty of excitement during Saturday’s match, with Armando Madonna’s side pulling off yet another four-goal win. It eventually finished 4-2 at the Stadio Breda, with Salcedo, Colidio, Merola and Esposito all on the scoresheet.

The first chance of the game fell to the Rossoneri, with Dekic keeping out a Tsadjout header early on. The Nerazzurri’s response came in the 15th minute, with Salcedo crashing a left-footed effort off the post. Eddie was involved once again six minutes later as he was brought down in the penalty area by Merletti. The Nerazzurri No.11 duly stepped up to take the spot kick, eventually scoring on the rebound after Plizzari saved his first effort and Colidio put in an enticing cross. Boosted by their opener, the hosts then threatened once again in the 38th minute, although Plizzari’s fists kept out Schirò. Just before the interval, Brescianini brought Milan back level with a 42nd-minute free-kick.

The Nerazzurri had an uphill start to the second half. Sala kept the ball in before setting up Capanni to make it 2-1. Inter responded brilliantly in the 57th minute through the magnificent Facundo Colidio who got onto a Gavioli cross from the left before flicking home via the inside of the post, leaving Plizzari with no chance. Two minutes later, Madonna’s Under-19s completed the comeback from the spot which Merola won and took himself soon after coming on.

In the 67th minute, Maldini won an aerial challenge but his header went just over. In the 82nd minute, Merola had a go with his left foot but the Rossoneri goalkeeper saved and made the ball his. Esposito wrapped things up to secure the result. Soon after coming on, he beat Plizzari with a free kick from the edge of the box to seal the win.

After the final whistle, Nolan and his teammates could celebrate after claiming three crucial points in the race for the Final Four while also securing local bragging rights once again.
