Sensi: "It was important to start on the right foot"

LUGANO - StefanoSensi today enjoyed his first outing in a Nerazzurri shirt, while also scoring his first goal as Inter beat Lugano 2-1: “We put in a good performance,” said the midfielder to Inter TV. “And it wasn’t easy after a week of hard work. We’re especially pleased because we tried to demonstrate the Coach’s methods out on the pitch. My goal? I’m happy with it, it’s always important to start on the right foot and I believe that I’ve done so.”

“Right from the first day, we've tried to adopt the tenacity that we want to maintain in the league. To achieve this we’ll have to keep working hard and focusing more day by day. We’ll always look to give our all. Personally, it’s a great source of motivation to work with Conte. There is the desire to improve in every training session.”

As for the upcoming tournament in Asia, Sensi concluded: “We’re taking on some very strong teams but we’re Inter and I’m sure that we’ll put in some great performances.”
