The midfielder at the heart of things with a goal and an assist: "I'm always looking to improve"
GENOA - Always lively in the game and always a key player: once again Stefano Sensi made two vital contributions to Inter’s success away to Sampdoria. One goal (the first which was assigned to him despite the deflection off Sanchez) and one assist, even if it was unintentional. The midfielder has had an active involvement in five goals in his six league games so far (3 goals, 2 assists), as well as winning the penalty to secure victory against Cagliari. The dream start.
He spoke to Inter TV after the win in Genoa: “I’m happy with the three points and also with my goal. I’m always looking to improve and play well, and today we got a good result. You can never take anything for granted when coming to Genoa, their fans always give an added push to the team. We did well not to underestimate them. The atmosphere blew up again when it went to 2-1, we did well in making it 3-1 straight away.
“I wasn’t expecting to have this kind of impact, my teammates have helped me in making me feel at ease and that’s a big positive. We know the quality of Barcelona, but we also know where we’re at in terms of both mentality and fitness. We’re always growing, and even more difficult times will come but we’re working to make sure we’re ready to deal with them. The quality of the team? We’re united, solid, and everyone is giving their all.”
