The quotes from the Primavera Coach and player after the Nerazzurri's resounding victory over Juventus
SESTO SAN GIOVANNI - Coach Madonna’s U19 side triumphed 5-1 over Juventus this morning, earning their sixth win on the trot across the league and Champions Youth League. The Nerazzurri face Atalanta next, heading into the game on maximum points.
Armando Madonna was satisfied with today’s performance: “Despite the result, today was a complicated game. We did well to open the scoring and then in taking advantage of the space, especially on the break. The goal to make it 2-1 changed the game and that was a vital moment for us.
“We’re continuing to pursue our own style of play, lately we’ve been proving that whoever plays can do it well. That’s fundamental for the group. Gnonto has also been excellent, he’s great at carving out space just like a lot of the others. I’m well satisfied,” concluded the Coach.
Samuele Mulattieri also spoke after the final whistle: “I’m really happy with my goal, but the most important thing was the team’s result. We’re continuing to grow and working hard, today’s goal was the result of a lot of different ideas tried out in training. Today we showed a lot of character on the pitch and we did very well to react to their equaliser. This win has to be a starting point to continue doing well.”
