The Slovakian defender: “We played well, but not well enough”
MILAN - First league defeat of the season for Inter, beaten 2-1 at San Siro by Juventus. Milan Skriniar, talking to Sky Sports and Inter TV, tried to explain the reasons for this first loss. "Here against Juventus, just against with Barcelona, we played well but not well enough. In both matches we kept hold of the ball and created chances but didn’t score. Juventus are strong, we knew that. We have to work and improve in many aspects. In the defensive phase we need to be more aggressive in our defending in the penalty area, we need to be marking the attackers more tightly"
“We keep going, there are still many matches left to play. We’ve lost and we’re not happy about it . The mentality is there, maybe we went missing during parts of the match, when we needed to press high or stay in our shape. In regards to this we still have to improve, but we will. The Coach wants us to build out from the back, many times we got out through the press really well but we need to continue to do, working hard.”
