The Inter U14s finished second as they represented Italy at the prestigious Danone Nations Cup


BARCELONA - The Nerazzurri U14s finished runners-up in the Danone Nations Cup, falling at the final hurdle as they lost 3-0 to France in the final.

It was a result to be proud of for Inter who arrived in Barcelona to represent Italy, faced with some of the biggest nations in the world. The Nerazzurri Under-14s didn’t lose a single game in the group stage, progressing all the way through to the final against France today.

Their path to the final saw them win twice against Germany (1-0, the goal from Fadda and 2-0, goals from Fadda and Mutti), while they drew the first match against Spain and won the second (1-1, the goal from Dicataldo and 1-0, a penalty from Compiani). Finally, they won 1-0 against Brazil with a goal from Tagliabue in the first match, the second match ending as a 0-0 draw.
