The Uruguayan was on the scoresheet in Inter's defeat to Borussia Dortmund
DORTMUND - He returned to the scoresheet in a bitter defeat. Matias Vecino scored Inter’s second as the Nerazzurri ended the first half 2-0 to the good away to Borussia Dortmund. But it wasn’t enough following the Germans’ second-half turnaround. After the match, the Uruguayan gave his thoughts to Sky Sport: “It’s a shame because in the first half we did well, but in the second period we dropped too deep. We kept the ball less and were forced back in our own half. They gained courage after their first goal and we weren’t able to get going again.
“Our Champions League campaign still isn’t over, we still have two games left and will go for it. On a personal level, I’m deeply disappointed with this defeat. I was back out on the pitch and scored, and this is positive. I always try to work the best I can. I can give even more to this team, this is very important to me.”
