"We can't just be a flash in the pan, if we want to play a big role we must become dynamite."

26 August, Inter’s first competitive game of the season: Inter 4-0 Lecce, goals from Brozovic, Sensi, Lukaku and Candreva. It was a win which saw us start our journey on the right foot as we began the season in the best possible way in front of our home crowd. There were a number of debuts too: Sensi, Lukaku and Barella. And, of course, it was Antonio Conte’s first game as Coach.

No doubt about it: it was a fantastic and resounding win. But it was just the first small step on a very long journey. This is something our Coach repeats a lot: growing one step at a time. That day, however, Conte gave an indication of what he thought the group’s ambitions should be. Not a flash in the pan, not a passing flame. But dynamite: an explosive and fired-up team constantly focused on giving the maximum.

It’s a way of thinking that the Nerazzurri are trying to display every time they step out onto the pitch, both in training and during games. It’s not easy to always be dynamite, but it’s this team’s objective.
