Wednesday's match-winner was delighted after the team's Coppa Italia progression: "This competition is one of our objectives"

MILAN - It was another right-footed strike for Barella on Wednesday evening, as he scored his third goal of the season in emphatic fashion. After previous goals against Slavia Prague and Verona, Nicolò Barella settled the Coppa Italia quarter-final thanks to a superb volley from outside the box, with the Nerazzurri now set for a semi-final showdown against Napoli. In his post-match interview, the midfielder had this to say to Inter TV: “Aside from the goal, I am pleased because we were without a win and we deserved it. At times we haven’t picked up the results that we should have. When you’re closing in on something then all of the games become increasingly difficult but the Coppa Italia is an objective that we really care about. It’s great to help the team also by scoring. Eriksen is a fantastic player and he’ll help to raise our game even further.”
