A Nerazzurri treble at the Stadio Breda, with Mulattieri, Satriano and Fonseca all on the scoresheet

SESTO SAN GIOVANNI - Armando Madonna’s Primavera returned to winning ways on matchday 20 in the league, coming away from the Stadio Breda with a 3-0 win over Genoa. All three of the Nerazzurri front line got in on the act, our goals on the day scored by Mulattieri, Satriano and Fonseca.

Inter got off to a great start, coming close to the opener in the ninth minute with chances for Schirò and then Satriano. The Nerazzurri did however have something to show for their dominance inside half an hour, Mulattieri slotting home from inside the box after a lovely exchange with Satriano. This was Samuele’s 14th league goal of the season, our young number 11 leading the race for the Golden Boot. Pozzer did well to keep out Bianchi in the 34th minute, an important save as Inter had their second just two minutes later. Mulattieri returned the favour to Satriano and his partner up top tucked the ball away with his left to make it 2-0.

Genoa flew out the blocks for the second half, Bianchi and Zennaro both asking questions of Pozzer early on. The Nerazzurri however held on well, posing a threat themselves through Mulattieri and Satriano on the counter. This game plan worked a treat, and in the 74th minute the Nerazzurri had their third: Vezzoni crossed in for Fonseca, and our substitute found the net on the stretch. Madonna’s boys managed the closing minutes superbly, seeing out the game and bringing home all three points at full-time.
