MILAN – Determination, talent, hard work and self-sacrifice. Samuel Eto’o achieved what he did over the course of his career thanks to his innate talents and those which he worked at developing himself. His game was always filled with strength: unstoppable on the pitch, tactically committed, ready to give back to the fans’ love with breathtaking goals and celebrations. From stunning moments like that bicycle kick against Livorno, to vital goals like the winner against Chelsea, all the way to huge individual performances where his talent was matched by his defensive work rate and commitment to the team, just like that night at Camp Nou in the second leg of the Champions League semi-finals against Barcelona.
102 appearances and 53 goals in Nerazzurri colours mean that Samuel’s mark on Inter’s history will never be forgotten, as well as his role at the heart of the side to win a Scudetto, two Coppa Italia, a Champions League trophy, an Italian Super Cup and a Club World Cup.
Samuel Eto’o celebrates turning 39 today, best of wishes from everyone at the Club and all of our fans.
