The results of our Man of the Match poll for Saturday night’s game at the Gewiss Stadium

MILAN – Inter showed a real desire to secure the last three points available to them in the 2019/20 Serie A season, producing a performance full of character in a game prepared to the finest detail. Goals from D’Ambrosio and Young secured a 2-0 victory as the Nerazzurri ended the season with four consecutive clean sheets and 82 points, a tally which saw them finish second. Our fans were given the chance to select their Man of the Match from the game on Twitter.

There were four players in the running. First, Danilo D’Ambrosio, who opened the scoring after just 50 seconds, the fastest goal scored this Serie A season and the Italian defender’s fourth of the campaign. Ashley Young, meanwhile, finished the season in style with a great goal. It was his fourth since joining the Club in January, with the Englishman also having four assists to his name. Along with the two goalscorers, Romelu Lukaku was also in contention: the Belgian striker was a point of reference for his teammates and a constant threat, getting involved in twelve duels and creating four opportunities. Finally, there was Diego Godin, who was attentive throughout and played with character: the Uruguayan defender made five clearances, won the ball back on four occasions and came out on top in seven aerial duels.

The fans have made up their minds: with 44% of the votes, Ashley Young is the MVP of Atalanta 0-2 Inter, with his delightful curling effort going down as the Nerazzurri's 81st and final goal of the season.
