MILAN – Nerazzurri legend Jair da Costa turns 81 today.
The Brazilian winger joined Inter from Sao Paulo in 1962 and became a key member of the legendary Grande Inter side of the '60s.
Jair made 260 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring 69 goals – including the winner in our second European Cup triumph against Benfica in 1965.
The speedy No.7, who is fondly remembered for his feints and tricks on the flank, won four Scudetti, two European Cups and two Intercontinental Cups during his 10-year spell at the club.
On behalf of FC Internazionale Milano and Nerazzurri fans everywhere, many happy returns, Jair!
