The Nerazzurri forward has been speaking to Inter TV

APPIANO GENTILE – With over two weeks of pre-season with the Inter first team under his belt, Andrea Pinamonti is doing everything he can to continue his progression at the club. That’s what the young Nerazzurri forward told Inter TV in an exclusive interview about the team’s objectives and his own aims on Sunday.

Check out what the 22-year-old Inter man had to say below.

The third week of pre-season is now underway – how’s it going?

“Everything is going well. It’s tiring because you work hard during these training camps, but we’re doing good things and we’re all happy. We’re starting to get to grips with what the coach wants from us. We‘re ready for the next stage of pre-season.”

It must be quite a big task to adjust to the style and movement the new coach wants…

“Yes, it’s definitely an important part of it. We’re going to be using the same system as last year, so there are definitely some similarities. The coach is explaining his philosophy to us and gradually we’re taking that on board and getting better with each day that passes.”

There are a lot of youth players joining in with the first team. Not so long ago you were one of those guys! What memories do you have of those sessions and what’s it like for you now?

“It’s been four or five years since I was in their shoes – I was younger then and less mature. I feel more experienced now, although I still have a lot to learn. You can learn a lot during these training camps because even though a lot of the big names are missing after Euro 2020 or the Copa America, there are still lots of top players here that can help you to improve.”

Inter will kick off the league season against Genoa, a team you know well. What kind of game are you expecting?

“It’s always a tough game against Genoa, plus this one is on the opening day so it’ll take a bit of time for things to click. That said, we’re working very hard and we’ll make sure we’re ready for it.”

What are your goals for the season ahead?

“Ever since I joined the first time, my aim has always been to improve. I have to take every opportunity to learn something new, progress and become what I want to be.”
