After the win at the Mapei Stadium, the Nerazzurri are up to 17 points, with 22 goals scored

MILAN – Inter’s comeback win over Sassuolo takes the team to 17 points so far this season, after five wins and two draws in the first seven games of the campaign, in which they scored 22 and conceded 8. This time around it was Edin Dzeko and Lautaro Martinez on the scoresheet – the first struck 33 seconds after entering the fray in the second half, while the latter scored from the spot, netting his sixth out of seven penalties in Serie A. Here are more facts and figures from the match at the Mapei Stadium.

DZEKO: FROM THE BENCH TO CELEBRATIONS IN 33 SECONDS

Dzeko was instrumental in turning the game around. Just 33 seconds after coming on, he scored his sixth goal for the Nerazzurri. He is the first player, in his debut season with the club, to score at least six goals in the first seven Serie A matches of the season since Ronaldo did in 1997/98. Dzeko's goal is also the fastest by a substitute in Serie A since Alvaro Morata scored after 33 seconds against Fiorentina last April. The Nerazzurri striker has scored in four consecutive Serie A appearances for the first time since October 2017, when he netted in five games in a row for Roma.

COOL LAUTARO

After lots of work to help the team, Lautaro Martinez got his name on the scoresheet with coolness and precision from the penalty spot. The Argentine has converted six of the seven penalties he has taken in Serie A and with the goal at the Mapei Stadium he has been involved in seven goals (six goals, one assist) in the last seven league games: as many as in the previous 17.

INTER UP TO 22 GOALS FOR THE SEASON

With 22 goals scored in seven league games, Inter are still the most prolific team in Serie A. The Nerazzurri have avoided defeat in three consecutive league games having trailed at half time for the first time in their history. The team has also scored more than one goal in all of their last 12 Serie A matches, surpassing the longest streak – 11 – recorded in 1943.

DZEKO & LAUTARO: 11-GOAL DUO

With eleven goals in total, Edin Dzeko (six) and Lautaro Martinez (five) are the most prolific strike duo in Italy's top-flight so far this campaign. The Argentine striker has scored five goals in his first six Serie A matches this season for the first time in his career.
