MILAN - Inter Primavera's Belgian midfielder Ibrahim Maaroufi has been named in his country's Under-21 squad for a friendly against Juliper League outfit K.Sint-Truidense, to take place at 19:00 this evening in Sint-Truiden. Maaroufi, of Moroccan descent, was poised to make his Belgium Under-21 debut against Italy in Chieti, but the match was cancelled after the incidents in Catania which led to the death of police officer Filippo Raciti.

Another academy player, Josè Manuel Alves Barbosa, known as 'Coelho', has been called up to the Portuguese Under-17 squad for a training camp on 6 & 7 February. The striker, who plays for Daniele Bernazzani's Allievi Nazionali side, has received regular national team call-ups since joining Inter on a three-year deal from Porto last summer.
