Nerazzurri wear black armbands to mark death of Guido Susini

ALKMAAR - AZ Alkmaar defeated Inter 4-2 in Saturday's pre-season friendly. The match kicked off with a minute's silence, and the Nerazzurri wore black armbands in memory of team manager Guido Susini who died this morning.

The Dutch side took a 10th-minute lead through Cziommer who slotted in from the middle of the area after collecting a Maartens pass. Steinsson headed in a left-wing corner to double AZ's lead before the half-hour mark.

Dejan Stankovic reduced the arrears before the break with a close-range header from Figo's right-wing cross.

Figo was denied an equaliser by Waterman in the first minute of the second half. AZ Alkmaar took a 3-1 lead four minutes in when Cziommer's effort from the left edge of the Nerazzurri area went in off Materazzi.

Ari fired home AZ's fourth from the middle of the box on 55 minutes. Julio 'El Jardinero' Cruz added Inter's second twenty minutes later with a grasscutter from 20 yards.
