ROME - Inter thrashed Lazio 4-1 in their Primavera Tim Cup round of 16 first leg tie to signal a return to winning ways after their draw away to Atalanta at the weekend.
Biancocelesti striker Mancini gave his team the lead on six minutes but the Nerazzurri were level within five when Michele Rigione headed in a corner. Jacopo Fortunato scored with an angled shot from outside the box to give Vincenzo Esposito's a 2-1 lead at the break.
Stefano Giacomelli netted after a goalmouth scramble and Rigione scored his second of the game with eight minutes remaining to wrap up a convincing victory for Vincenzo Esposito's team, who host Lazio in the return leg at the Centro Sportivo Giacinto Facchetti on Wednesday 12 November.
