WORLD CUP 2002 - ITALY-CROATIA 1-2, CONTROVERSY CALL BY THE LINESMAN LARSEN

IBARAKI - Italy lost their second World Cup match to Croatia two goals to one. An intense and tactical first half. Shortly into the match Italy's central defender Materazzi replaced Nesta due to a foot injury. The second half began with a disallowed goal from Vieri's header. At 55' Vieri brings the Italians ahead, by finishing an excellent cross from Doni. However as the game seem to favour the Italians, the Croatians get a well deserve break and at the 73' Olic ties the match. At 76' Rapic scores the goal head goal for the Croatians from a half volley just outside the box.
