Mancini heads home second-half goal as Nerazzurri win final friendly before start of championship

KAPFENBERG - In their last friendly match before the start of the 2009/10 Serie A championship, Inter defeated the Bahrain national team 1-0 at the Franz Fekete Stadion in Kapfenberg. Brazilian winger Mancini scored the only goal of the game in the 63rd minute. Inter had plenty of chances in Austria with Eto'o, Milito and Quaresma all going close in the first half. Academy youngster Lorenzo Crisetig replaced Muntari in the final stages to make his debut for the first team.

2' Stankovic combines with Muntari down the left wing. The Serbian's cross into the area is cleared.
Bahrain win a corner after a half-clearance from Maicon. The corner is headed clear by the Inter defence.
7' Eto'o plays in Stankovic and the Bahrain defence concedes a corner. Quaresma's cross from the corner flag is punched clear by Jaffer.
10' Zanetti presses Ahmed Hasan but the Bahrain winger gets a cross in from the right. Easy catch for Francesco Toldo.
14' Zanetti serves Stankovic. The Serbian runs into the box and pulls back for Eto'o who shoots on goal. Jaffer denies the Cameroonian with an instinctive block. Best chance of the match so far.
16' Quaresma's right-wing corner is cleared by the Bahrain defence. Stankovic picks out Quaresma on the right but the Portuguese is intercepted before he can reach the area.
Ali Husain's powerful long-range effort goes wide of Toldo's left-hand post.
Quaresma receives from Eto'o on the right, takes on an opponent and crosses. The ball goes out for a goal kick.
' Muntari plays in Eto'o but the Inter number nine is flagged offside.
24' Another chance for Inter. Quaresma takes on two opponents during a run down the middle and picks out Milito on the left. The Argentine dribbles his marker and plays back to Quaresma but the goalkeeper blocks.
Zanetti gallops down the left and crosses into the box. Milito's shot is blocked, Eto'o is quickest to the loose ball and he slots home but the goal is ruled out for offside.
29' Quaresma's right-wing corner is played into the path of Milito by Materazzi, but the opposing defence clears.
32' Bahrain play a long ball forward to Salmeen. Toldo gets there first.
33' Mahhood Ringo's 25-yard curling free kick is high over Toldo's crossbar.
34' Eto'o gets into a shooting position outside the Bahrain area but his effort goes wide of Jaffer's left-hand post.
36' Maicon races down the right and crosses to Milito. Husain Baba appears to handle the ball during his penalty-area clash with the Argentine.
37' Vieira picks out Zanetti on the left flank. The captain serves Milito on the edge of the area and the striker sends his shot wide.
39' Eto'o's shot from Quaresma's free kick is blocked and cleared with some difficulty by the Bahrain defence.

Second half
46' Inter get the second half under way. José Mourinho has made five half-time substitutions: Cordoba for Materazzi, Balotelli for Milito, Mancini for Quaresma, Krhin for Stankovic and Santon for Vieira. Bahrain coach Milan Macala has made one: Ali Meshkhas for Husain Salman.
Eto'o wins a corner after collecting Lucio's pass from the right. Balotelli finds Cordoba with his cross from the corner flag but the Colombian can't find that vital touch.
56' Eto'o and Lucio have chances from Balotelli's right-wing corner but Husain Baba clears with his heel. Balotelli's second corner is headed to safety by Macala's men.
59' Balotelli is fouled during a run down the right. The resulting free kick is played short to Mancini who sends his first-time shot over the bar.
61' José Mourinho replaces Lucio with Walter Samuel.
63' GOAL! Inter take the lead through Mancini. Zanetti takes on four opponents, enters the area and the Brazilian steals in to head past Jaffer after a dummy by Eto'o.
67' Inter close to a quick second. Eto'o advances down the left and serves Balotelli with a brilliant crossfield pass. Mario enters the area and shoots but Jaffer narrows the angle and saves.
70' Bahrain bring on Latif for Ali Husain.
71' Balotelli's 23-yard left-wing free kick is just over the near post.
72' Eto'o enters the box and takes on an opponent with some superb ball control but the Cameroon forward is stopped by a second challenge.
73' Inter close again. Maicon and Balotelli tear down the right wing and get the ball to Mancini who sends his right-foot shot inches over.

88' Santon serves Balotelli in the area but the striker fails to control and the ball falls to the feet of Slovenian midfielder Krhin, who shoots over.
90' Balotelli's right wing free kick is just over Jaffer's left-hand post.
90' Messner blows for full time. Inter beat Bahrain in their last friendly before the start of the championship, thanks to a goal from Mancini in the 63rd minute.
