MILAN - F.C. Internazionale would like to wish Jonathan Ludovic Biabiany all the best for the future. Today the 22-year-old begins an important new adventure in his career: at Sampdoria. He will always be remembered fondly here at Inter.
Biabiany grew up in Paris before he was discovered and brought to Italy by Inter. He immediately caught everyone's eye as he played a key role in helping Inter win the Primavera (under-19s) league in 2006/07. That season he also made his first-team debut in the Coppa Italia against Empoli, on 17 January 2007. The following season he joined Chievo Verona on loan before gaining important first-team experience at Modena, where he starred in Serie B 2008/09 and scored one of the goals of the season. Last year he confirmed his Serie A pedigree with Parma.
He came back to Inter in July 2010. In total he appeared for us 22 times, which included 14 league games and a UEFA Champions League debut, and he also took part in our Italian Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup 2010 victories. It was in Abu Dhabi, on 18 December in the Club World Cup final against Mazembe, that Biabiany scored his first and only goal in Nerazzurri colours: his strike wrapped the game up at 3-0 and ensured the France under-21 international became a world champion with the Nerazzurri.
