ABU DHABI - Luis Figo and Francesco Toldo, speaking as they represented Inter at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi before the Laureus World Sports Awards 2011 ceremony, commented on the current state of affairs at the Inter.
Toldo was quick to praise Leonardo for the excellent work he has done in his first month as Nerazzurri coach: "Leonardo has been able to get the group going again, and they have responded really well to him: it's a group of players that have won a lot and who are still hungry for success. That has been evident over the last month."
The focus then switched to the Champions League: "Let's hope the Round of 16 goes as it did last year," said Figo. "We are fast approaching the big date and our crunch game with Bayern Munich; we're ready for it and we're confident."
The Portuguese star then explained that "life doesn't end when you stop playing. Now Toldo and I can help the club in a different way and we're proud to be doing that."
