APPIANO GENTILE - His target is 200 appearances in an Inter shirt and Dejan Stankovic can hit it tomorrow if he is picked against Cagliari: "It's a nice milestone to reach and I'm happy about it. I don't feel old, just happy. They call me 'senator' every now and again. One of the family. I'm cool about it. It would be nice to celebrate like Pazzini the other day by scoring...," said the Serb midfielder in an interview for Inter Channel on A tu per tu.
"What's important," he went on, "was getting on the teamsheet, after being out of action for three weeks: I'm satisfied with my performance as well as that of the team. We had to win and keep the pressure on AC Milan. Now the title is up for grabs and there's still a long way to go. And when you're winning matches there can be no better medicine. Winning one match helps you win the next."
Tomorrow it's Cagliari and then on Wednesday Bayern Munich: "We must play well against Cagliari to keep the pressure on the teams that are above us. It's normal to feel tired when you've played a lot of matches at the rate we play them. On Wednesday we have to be careful not to concede any goals. We have to barricade our goal, even if we have the experience and the quality to beat them."
Stankovic went on to talk about his physical condition: "The flexor muscle is ok now. I feel comfortable about it. Dr Combi and all of his staff have done a great job. I've been able to return to the team after only three weeks on the sidelines."
