PRIMAVERA, INTER 1-1 ATALANTA: DRAW NOT ENOUGH

Deleidi's 84th-minute equaliser after Thiam's goal means Inter now face the play-offs to reach Final Eight

MILAN - In the last game of the Campionato Primavera regular season, Inter's Under-19 side coached by Fulvio Pea took on Atalanta at the Centro Sportivo Giacinto Facchetti in what was a decisive match: the two sides were playing to finish second and thus avoid the play-offs to reach to Final Eight. Having lost all three previous fixtures (once in the league and both legs in the Primavera Coppa Italia), it was also something of a grudge match for Atalanta, who succeeded in getting the draw they needed to finish above the Nerazzurri. 1-1 was the final scoreline, Deleidi snatching an 84th-minute equaliser after Thiam had given Inter the lead in the first half. The result means Fulvio Pea's team will be back in action next weekend (7 May) in the play-offs.
