PRIMAVERA: BARDI'S HEROICS, TORINO BEATEN

The first play-off round ends 0-0 after extra time; Inter win 2-0 after penalty shoot-out

MILAN - Inter's Under-19 side took on Torino this afternoon in the first play-off round of the Campionato Primavera season. It was a very intense game, unsurprisingly with a lot at stake. Torino dominated most of the first period while Inter improved in the second half, but the match remained goalless after 90 minutes. Extra time was played out, void of any real goalmouth action, and the game went to penalties. Up stepped Nerazzurri keeper Bardi to save two out of four Torino penalties (the other two were off target). Crisetig and Duncan converted their spot-kicks and Inter won the shoot-out 2-0, meaning they are through to the second play-off round.
