This is what the Argentinian attacker had to say after the match on Tuesday: "We are proud of what we are doing, but the road is still long"

MILAN – After netting a brace and his eleventh goal from ten Serie A matches, Mauro  Icardi was interviewed at the end of the match on Tuesday: “I’m not completely satisfied, I’m a bit angry about hitting the post and also with some other chances... I occasionally got my final ball wrong. I certainly need to improve there and not slip up with those final passes. You can’t risk anything in that kind of match.

"We know the type of squad that we have and we know where we can finish. We have a really strong side, made up good players and exceptional staff. We are all obviously proud of what we are doing at the moment, but the road is still long. We are happy at the moment, but we must continue like this. We have won this encounter, but let's now think of our next match which will prove to be an entirely different challenge.

"We should have finished them off in the first half because we had the chances to do so. We created a huge amount and we played well. We controlled the entire game and this is obviously a good thing. However, we cannot take risks like we did tonight."
