Career Story
Born in ’95, Stefano Sensi has spent most of his life on the pitch or, more accurately, in the centre of the pitch. He was 13 years of age when left Urbino, his hometown, to play for Rimini’s academy. It’s never easy for a young man to leave home, but Stefano Sensi has always had perseverance in spades. It’s what allowed him to make moves in men’s football, to conquer obstacle after obstacle in order to chase his dream. He signed for Cesena to play youth football and then played for San Marino in Lega Pro, captaining the side at just 18. He scored ten goals in 61 games, as he was often deployed further up the pitch. He returned to Cesena for a season in the first team before getting a move to Sassuolo in 2016. He scored five goals in 68 games in three seasons with the Neroverdi. He stood out for his sense of teamwork and willingness to shoulder responsibility. His vision and intelligence have always been sublime, earning the nickname “Maestro” in the past, and were the key characteristics that he’d bring to Inter in 2019/20. In two-and-a-half years, he won one Scudetto and one Supercoppa with the Nerazzurri. What followed were loan spells first with Sampdoria and then with Monza the following season.
Now, he’s back in Milano for another exciting adventure.
