46' GOAL!!!!! Maicon skips past Jankulovski, combines with Milito and crashes beyond Storari, and we're 3-0 up at the break!

45' Three minutes of additional time.
43' Borriello powers over his header from Ronaldinho's left-wing corner and the Inter fans chant 'Serie B, Serie B, Serie B'.

36' GOAL!!!!! Diego Milito, who scored both goals in the pre-season World Football Challenge win over Milan, makes it 2-0 with a perfect conversion from the spot. AC MILAN 0-2 INTER.

35' Gattuso is shown a yellow card.
34' Walter Samuel is booked for a challenge on Pato.
30' Borriello has a chance for an immediate reply but well done Cristian Chivu, who blocks the Italian's shot. Julio Cesar then sprints and gathers the ball, avoiding a corner.
29' GOAL!!!!!! Thiago Motta finishes off a brilliant move by Inter. He collects from Zanetti and plays to Eto'o who serves Milito, who plays through to the Brazilian and he curls first time past Storari. AC MILAN 0-1 INTER.
27' Inter win another free kick and once again it's Sneijder who takes it. He hits the wall again.
25' Sneijder's corner kick is headed clear by Borriello, who one-twos with Pato as the Rossoneri come storming forward on the break. Julio Cear brings the move to an end, coming out of his area to intercept Pato.

13' The Rossoneri mount a counter-attack. Pato paces down the left and serves Ronaldinho in the box but the Milan number ten blazes over.
10' Leonardo's men attack back and Inter have Walter Samuel to thank for a timely challenge on Flamini.
9' Thiago Motta looks for Eto'o with a fast ball into the box but in all fairness it was a difficult one to control. Goal kick to Milan.
8' Flamini wastes a chance for the Rossoneri, sprinting past Maicon on the byline and sending a weak cross straight into the arms of Julio Cesar.
6' Wesley Sneijder forces a one-handed parry from Storari with a fiercely struck shot from 25 yards. Nice try from the Dutch midfielder on his Inter debut.
6' Mathieu Flamini is yellow-carded for an ugly challenge on Lucio.
2' Diego Milito races down the left and turns Zambrotta before firing high over Storari's crossbar.
1' We've had a Christmas derby, a Euro derby, a New York derby and a Foxborough derby. And now we have an August derby. Yes folks, this is our first ever Serie A meeting against AC Milan in the eighth calendar month.
1' A new pitch has been laid at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza and apparently the new type of grass used is able to better withstand the high summer temperatures.
1' It has been used three times before tonight's clash - the Trofeo Berlusconi between Milan and Juve, an Inter training session and last weekend's home game against Bari. For the record, the grass is 28 millimetres tall.
1' We have the lineups and big news is that Wesley Sneijder, who signed a four-year deal yesterday ahead of the transfer deadline, is in José Mourinho's starting XI.

Leonardo v Mourinho

The two coaches meet in a competitive fixture for the first time. In the 2009/10 pre-season, Mourinho's Inter beat Leonardo's AC Milan 2-0 in the World Football Challenge in Foxborough and 1-0 in the 45-minute TIM Trophy match in Pescara.

Leonardo v Inter

Leonardo faces Inter for the first time as a coach after six derbies as an AC Milan player from November 1997 to May 2001. The Brazilian won 2, drew 3 (all 2-2) and lost 1 (1-0 away defeat in Coppa Italia on 21 January 1998), scoring twice in the 2-2 Serie A draw on 13 March 1999. The two victories were Milan's biggest ever against their city rivals (5-0 at home in Coppa Italia on 8 January 1998 and 6-0 away in Serie A on 11 May 2001).

Mourinho v AC Milan

José Mourinho has faced AC Milan in a competitive fixture on three previous occasions. In the European Super Cup on 29 August 2003 (exactly six years ago) Mourinho's Porto lost 1-0 to Ancelotti's AC Milan. Mourinho's Inter lost by the same score in last September's Serie A derby, winning the return fixture 2-1 in February.

MILAN - Thiago Motta and Diego Milito scored in their first competitive Milan derby, Maicon added a third before the break, and Dejan Stankovic struck midway through the second half as Inter completed a memorable victory over their cross-city rivals.

The Italian champions bounced back from their 1-1 draw with Bari in style, sending AC Milan, who were reduced to ten men after the dismissal of Gattuso on 40 minutes, to their heaviest derby defeat since 1974.

José Mourinho threw new signing Wesley Sneijder straight into the fray and the Dutch midfielder fired an early warning with a trademark long-range drive, forcing a difficult one-handed save from Storari.

Inter's first-time passing was mouthwatering and the move that led to our opening goal was text book stuff. Thiago Motta received from Zanetti and continued his run into the box to curl first-time past the Milan keeper after deft touches from Eto'o and Milito.

Milito opened his scoring account for Inter with the second goal seven minutes later from the penalty spot after Gattuso carelessly brought down Eto'o in the box. The Italy midfielder's personal nightmare continued when he was sent off for a second yellow after fouling Sneijder.

Mourinho's men took full advantage and increased their lead in stoppage time at the end of the first half, Maicon outwitting Jankulovski on the right and one-twoing with Milito before rifling past Storari.

Inter continued their domination in the second half and Eto'o fired a right-foot shot just wide in the opening seconds. Sneijder came even closer with a long-range effort that dipped inches over the bar.

Thiago Motta pulled up with a high problem and on came Sulley Muntari, who assisted Stankovic for Inter's fourth midway through the half. The Serbian picked his spot and let rip and long-range swerveshot that flew into the top corner.

Stankovic was denied a second with Milito seeing his rebound saved as the Nerazzurri came forward in search of a fifth on what was a humiliating evening for Milan.
