In detail:

2002/03 Serie A Inter-Modena 2-0 ----

Last Inter top scorer and best attack 14 years ago

After 14 years, Inter are close to winning two platonic titles, those of Serie A top scorer and best attack. The last Nerazzurri player to win the title of top scorer was Aldo Serena in 1988/89. The striker was part of Trapattoni's record-breaking side that scored 67 goals (6 more than second-placed AC Milan) in the same season.

Lean goal machine

Despite having the best attack of the current Serie A season with 60 goals scored, the Nerazzurri goal machine has been out of sorts over the past two months. Inter have scored just 8 times in their last 7 matches, 3 of those goals coming in the draw at home to Roma.

Objective runners-up spot

Inter's objective in the final 180 minutes of the domestic campaign is to keep second position in order to avoid playing the Champions League preliminaries next season. If they succeed in doing so, it will be the 14th time the Nerazzurri have finished a Serie A season as runners-up. The last time was in 1997/98.

One point needed for Modena

A draw at home to Inter this weekend will guarantee Modena top flight football next season. The Emilians currently lie in 12th position, level on points with Empoli and 5 ahead of Reggina and Atalanta.

Newly promoted Modena looking to stay in Serie A for 5th time

Modena have managed to keep Serie A status after gaining promotion in 1928/29, 1937/38, 1945/46 and 1961/62. They failed to do so in 1941/42 when the results of the penultimate round saw Modena relegated to the Serie B.
