Rossoblu comebacks in cup

Bologna go into a Coppa Italia return leg at 3-1 down for the second time in their history. In the 1997/98 edition of the domestic cup competition, the Rossoblu came back from 3-1 down to hold Atalanta 4- 4. Atalanta progressed after extra time and a penalty shoot-out.

Unbeaten run continues

The Nerazzurri are now unbeaten in 29 matches, their last defeat the 2- 1 loss to Lecce at the Via del Mare Stadium on 2 May 2004. Since then Inter have recorded 14 victories and 15 draws in Serie A, Coppa Italia and Champions League matches.

Inter's unbeaten runs in cup

Inter haven't lost in 7 Coppa Italia games, with 3 victories and 4 draws. The last time the Nerazzurri went so many domestic cup matches without defeat was seven years ago, when they won 6 and drew 4 between August 1996 and October 1997.

Vieri, Recoba goals against Bologna

When it comes to scoring Christian Vieri (who netted in the first leg) counts Bologna among his three second-favourite targets, with 10 goals against the Rossoblu, Roma and Verona. Perugia are top of the list, with 12 Vieri goals against them.

BOLOGNA - Inter beat Bologna 3-1 at the Dall'Ara to advance to the last eight of the Coppa Italia TIM by an aggregate score of 6-2. Obafemi Martins picked up where he left off at the San Siro last Sunday with all three of the Nerazzurri's goals in a devastating second-half performance.

Binotto scored on the stroke of half time to reduce Inter's two-goal lead from the first leg, but Martins gave a quick reply, equalising eleven minutes after the break with a close-range shot after Recoba's 20-yard strike came back off the post.

The Nigerian put Inter in front on 82 minutes, steering past Ferron after receiving Stankovic's ball over the Bologna defence, then saved the best till last with an unstoppable shot from the edge of the box which screamed into the top right-hand corner.
