Inter prolific at home this term

With 16 goals in 7 home games, Inter have scored in each of their Meazza matches in 2005/06. The last time the Nerazzurri failed to score at home was on 29 May 2005 when they played out a goalless Serie A draw with Reggina.

No Portuguese win in Italy since 1997

The last time a Portuguese club won a European tie on Italian soil was in the Cup Winners' Cup on 20 March 1997 when Benfica beat Fiorentina 1- 0 in Florence. Since then there have been 13 matches between Portuguese and Italian sides in Italy, with 11 Italian wins and 2 draws.

Adriano's record hat-trick against Porto

The last time Inter entertained Porto in the Champions League was in the round of sixteen on 15 March 2005. Inter won 3-1 with three goals from Adriano, who became the first Nerazzurri player to score a hat- trick in the European Cup/Champions League.

Adriano chasing Mazzola record

With his goal at Shakhtar Donetsk in qualifying last August Adriano equalled Jair's tally of 11 goals for Inter in the European Cup/Champions League. The Brazilian striker is now five away from reaching Sandro Mazzola's club record of 16 goals in Europe's most prestigious competition.

Porto drawless in 7 Euro trips

Porto's last European draw away from home was a 2-2 Champions League stalemate at Lyon on 7 April 2004. Since then they have collected 2 wins and 5 defeats.

MILAN - Inter came back from behind at the Giuseppe Meazza to beat Porto 2-1 in Matchday 4 thanks to goals from second-half substitute Julio Cruz.

The Argentine striker converted a penalty then scored with a header to put Inter four points clear at the top of Champions League Group H, with Artmedia holding Rangers 2-2 in Bratislava.

Hugo Almeida stunned the Nerazzurri on 16 minutes with a bullet free kick that sailed into the top left corner.

But Inter kept their nerve and had three good chances to equalise. Figo sent a 20-yard shot wide then crossed for Martins to head at Vitor Baia before Adriano had a left-foot stinger blocked by Pepe.

Porto's only real chance of increasing their lead before the break fell to Quaresma, who curled a low, right-foot shot wide.

On for Adriano in the second half, Julio Cruz found the bottom left corner with a precisely taken penalty shot to tie the match after Pizarro was brought down by Pedro Emanuel.

Sinisa Mihajlovic had a curling free kick miraculously saved by Vitor Baia, then Cruz had an instinctive shot cleared off the line from the resulting corner.

But there was no stopping El Jardinero's headed goal into the bottom left corner as the Nerazzurri completed a second-half fightback.
