No Parma away win since August

Parma have not won away from home since last 14 August when they beat Padova 1-0 in the Coppa Italia. The Gialloblu have played 10 away matches since then, collecting 8 defeats and 2 draws and conceding 25 goals (at least one in each of those 10 games).

Adriano set for 100th Inter appearance

If he plays against the Gialloblu Adriano will complete a century of appearances for the Nerazzurri. The Brazilian forward, who made his Inter debut in the 2-2 away draw with Parma on 9 September 2001, has played 71 Serie A matches, 6 in the Italian Cup, 21 in Europe and 1 in the Italian Super Cup, scoring 55 goals.

Inter unbeaten in 15 cup games

Inter's last Coppa Italia defeat was the 2-1 home loss to Bari on 19 December 2002. The Nerazzurri have won 10 and drawn 5 of the 15 domestic cup matches played since then, and are now five positive results away from their record run of 20 Coppa Italia matches without defeat between May 1986 and April 1988. The Nerazzurri have scored at least once in each of their 12 domestic cup games since the goalless draw at Udinese on 13 January 2004 (total 25 goals).

Inter: no cup goal conceded for 296'

Inter haven't let in a goal in the Italian Cup since Diego Lopez's 64th-minute header from Gianfranco Zola's cross in Inter 3-1 Cagliari last 18 May. That was 296 cup minutes ago (remaining 26 minutes of that semi-final return leg plus both final legs against Roma and this season's last 16 first leg against Parma).

Inter okay after 1-0 away wins from cup first legs

For the fifth time in the club's history Inter go into a home Coppa Italia second leg with a 1-0 lead from the first leg, and have progressed in the tournament on each of the four previous occasions: Empoli 0-1 Inter, Inter 1-0 Empoli in 1984/85; Monza 0-1 Inter, Inter 2-1 Monza in 1990/91; Foggia 0-1 Inter, Inter 3-2 Foggia in 1997/98; and Atalanta 0-1 Inter, Inter 3-0 Atalanta in 2004/05.

Parma & 1-0 defeats from cup first legs

For the second time in their history Parma play a Coppa Italia second leg away after a 1-0 defeat from the first leg. In 2000/01 they drew the final return leg 1-1 at Fiorentina, then coached by Roberto Mancini, to lose 2-1 on aggregate.

MILAN - After Sunday's 0-0 draw at Siena the Nerazzurri played out another goalless stalemate with Parma at the Giuseppe Meazza and win the Tim Cup round of 16 tie 1-0 on aggregate to set up a quarter-final meeting with Lazio, who ousted Cittadella.

Obafemi Martins' headed goal in last month's first leg was enough for the cup holders as neither side managed to finish off the many scoring chances created.

De Lucia emulated his Siena counterpart Mirante, pulling off first-half saves from Adriano and Solari, with Cruz failing to connect with a Kily cross for what would have been a sure opener.

The Parma goalkeeper De Lucia kept his side in the cup tie after the restart with a crucial save from team-mate Paolo Cannavaro who blocked a Stankovic to send the ball spinning dangerously towards the near post.

Parma were at their most effective on the break and had a couple of good chances to level the aggregate score, but Dedic and Ruopolo both fired wide with just Toldo to beat.

Obafemi Martins added zip to the Nerazzurri attack after coming on for Adriano and almost grabbed a late winner, his bullet header from Stankovic's cross finishing wide. Santiago Solari went even closer in injury time but De Lucia was quick to block the Argentine winger's shot.

Inter are at home again this Sunday with Cagliari at the Meazza in Week 19 of the Serie A championship.
