Head-to-head

Javier Zanetti set for 300th Serie A appearance

If he plays against Bologna, Nerazzurri captain Javier Zanetti will make his 300th Serie A appearance for Inter (the only club he has played for in Italy). Zanetti made his debut in the 1-0 victory at home to Vicenza on 27 August 1995.

Captain Zanetti, Cruz prolific in November

Javier Zanetti will be hoping to celebrate his 300th Serie A match with a goal. And according to the statistics, November is the Nerazzurri captain's most prolific month. Zanetti has scored 4 of his 10 league goals in the eleventh calendar month (1 in 1996/97, 1998/99, 1999/00 and 2002/03 seasons). Former Bologna striker Julio Cruz also likes scoring in November, with 2 goals in 2000/01, 1 in 2002/03 and 4 last season.

Inter unbeaten in 18 competitive matches

The Nerazzurri haven't lost a competitive fixture since last 2 May when they were beaten 2-1 by Lecce at the Via del Mare Stadium. Since then, Inter have played 18 matches in the Serie A and Champions League, winning 8 and drawing 10.

No penalty for or against Inter since May

Inter are the only side playing the 2004/05 Serie A championship that still haven't had a penalty given either in their favour or against them. The Nerazzurri's last championship spot kick was on 2 May when Adriano scored against Lecce, while the last penalty given against Inter was on 7 March when Totti converted for Roma.

Veron, Martins likely scorers against Bologna?

Juan Sebastian Veron is newly available for selection after discounting his one-match suspension, and will be up against one of his two favourite Italian targets. The Argentine midfielder has scored three goals against Bologna keeper Pagliuca and Turci. He scored against the current Rossoblu custodian at the Marassi in Sampdoria v Inter in the 1997/98 Serie A season and in the first and second legs of the Coppa Italia tie between Inter and Parma in 1998/99. Bologna are one of Obafemi Martins' five favourite targets (along with Benfica, Juventus, AC Milan and Parma). The Nigerian scored on goal in each of the two Serie A matches against the Rossoblu last season.

No Bologna clean sheet for 21 matches

Bologna have let in at least one goal in each of their last 21 official matches (total 34 goals conceded). The last time the Emilia-Romagna side kept a clean sheet was last 21 March when they won 3-0 at home to Brescia.

No Bologna goal from 60th minute onward

The Rossoblu haven't scored in the final half-hour periods of matches in the first ten matches of the 2004/05 Serie A season. Bologna's 10 goals scored so far have all come in the first 60 minutes of games: 2 goals from 1’ to 15’, 2 from 16’ to 30’, 4 from 31’ to 45’ and 2 from 46’ to 60’.

MILAN - Bologna twice came back from behind to cancel out goals from Mihajlovic and Adriano and hold Inter to a 2-2 draw in Wednesday evening's Serie A TIM Week 11 match at the San Siro.

The Nerazzurri hit the woodwork twice in the opening ten minutes, Oba Martins shaving the post from close range after connecting with Emre’s pin-point cross then Burdisso heading Mihajlovic’s left-wing inswinger on to the crossbar.

Gianluca Pagliuca made a one-handed save from Cambiasso’s central shot as Inter pushed for an opener, and it came five minutes before the break when set-piece specialist Sinisa Mihajlovic opened his Nerazzurri scoring account with an inch-perfect free kick into the top left-hand corner.

The Rossoblu equalised early in the second half when Petruzzi crashed his close-range shot into the roof of the net after Toldo parried Cirpriani's header, then Inter retook the lead through Adriano, who headed home Mihajlovic's corner to make it nine goals in the Serie A this season.

Inter seemed to be headed for victory, but three minutes from full time Bologna sub Bellucci met Capuano's cross from the left and headed past Toldo from close range.
