Amauri, Diana on fire in October

Brazilian forward Amauri has scored 33 league goals in Italy. Of those, 9 have come in October. Amauri has already scored against Reggina and Udinese in October 2007. Another Palermo player, Aimo Diana, has scored one fourth of his 24 league goals in the tenth calendar month (6).

One Palermo clean sheet in last 13 home games

Palermo 0-0 AC Milan on 28 February 2007 was the last time the Rosanero kept a clean sheet at home. In their 12 home games since that date Palermo have conceded a total of 21 goals.

Miccoli on a century

If he plays against Inter, Fabrizio Miccoli will play his 100th match in the Serie A. The diminutive forward, who has worn the shirts of Perugia, Juventus, Fiorentina and Palermo in Italy's top flight, made his Serie A debut in Perugia 2-0 Reggina on 15 September 2002.

Brienza poised for 300th match as professional

Palermo forward Franco Brienza will celebrate 300 matches as a professional if he plays against the Nerazzurri on Sunday. Brienza, who made his competitive debut in Foggia 0-2 Reggiana on 1 February 1998, has played 95 times in Serie A, 78 in Serie A, 58 in Serie C1, 31 in Serie C2, 16 in Coppa Italia, 15 in European cups and 6 in other tournaments with the shirts of Foggia, Palermo, Ascoli and Perugia.

Ibrahimovic one of four most decisive players in 2007/08

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Atalanta's Riccardo Zampagna, Genoa's Marco Borriello and Napoli's Marcelo Zalayeta are the 2007/08 Serie A championship's four most decisive players after eight rounds of matches. With their goals all four players have earned their teams seven points.

Inter on target in 16 consecutive league matches

wins(10) draws(13) defeats(6)

PALERMO - Palemo held Inter 0-0 at the Renzo Barbera to end the Nerazzurri's run of six straight wins.

But the defending champions remain clear at the top of the table and extend their unbeaten run in the Serie A to 15 matches.

Before Stankovic's delightful shot on the turn in the 40th minute was parried by ex-Inter keeper Alberto Fontana, neither side had any clear-cut chances in a dull opening half.

Manicni made two forced changes at half-time, bringing on Orlandoni and Dacourt for injured pair Julio Cesar and Stankovic.

Inter's third goalkeeper, between the posts for the second time in his Nerazzurri career after the 2-2 Serie A draw with Cagliari in 2005/06, made saves from Caserta and Simplicio in a livelier second half.

The Nerazzurri had chances of their own and Suazo headed a Chivu cross just wide before Dacourt's long-range effort whizzed over the bar.

In between Fabrizio Miccoli, back in action after a lay-off through injury, went close with a rising drive from 20 yards.

Ibrahimovic tried an outrageous backheeled shot from Cambiasso's pass but Fontana got down at the near post to save.

The woodwork denied Inter a late opener when Chivu's majestic curling free kick came back off the crossbar.

Ibra had another good chance to secure the points with two minutes remaining but Fontana made a reflex save from the Swedish striker's downwards header.
