Inter on 15-game unbeaten (scoring) streak at home

Inter haven't lost at home since 23 September, when Siena won 0-2 in Serie A. Since then the Nerazzurri have put together a 15-game unbeaten run on home soil consisting of eleven wins and four draws, scoring in every game (30 goals in total). However, Andrea Stramaccioni's side still have some way to go until they equal Inter's record unbeaten home streak of 53 matches, which came between 2008 and 2010.

No derby draws since 2004

The last Milan derby to end all square in a competitive fixture was on 24 October 2004, when a goalless draw was played out with AC Milan as the home side. In the 19 competitive meetings since then, there have been 10 Nerazzurri triumphs and nine Rossoneri victories.

Second derby on 24 February after 1-1 in 1963

Since 1910, this is only the second time that the Derby della Madonnina has been played on 24 February. The other occasion was in 1963, a 1-1 draw which saw Mazzola's 1st-minute opener cancelled out by Sani in the 77th minute.

AC Milan have lost just one Serie A game in their last 13 outings. That was on 22 December, when they were beaten 4-2 away to Roma. In the other 12 matches in this period, the Rossoneri have racked up nine wins and three draws. Since losing to Roma, Milan are unbeaten in seven championship games, their longest unbeaten streak in the current campaign, with five victories and two draws. The Rossoneri have not lost in 2013 and would be top of the table on 17 points had the season begun at the start of the calendar year.

AC Milan have scored more times in the final 15 minutes of games (76th to 90th plus stoppage time) than any other team in the 2012/13 Serie A: 19 of their 44 total goals, or 43.2%.

MILAN – A pulsating derby played in an electric Meazza saw Inter and AC Milan share the spoils tonight. Schelotto responded to El Shaarawy's opener as it finished 1-1.

The Rossoneri drew first blood on 21 minutes when Boateng's through ball found El Shaarawy and the Pharaoh fired in clinically below the bar. Inter tried to fight their way back into the encounter but only managed to threaten through Palacio. Meanwhile Handanovic came to the rescue three times to deny Balotelli the joy of a goal against his former employers, the big Slovene effectively keeping the Nerazzurri in the game in the first half.

Stramaccioni's side moved up a gear after the break and levelled matters thanks to Schelotto. Just three minutes after making his entrance, the Argentine wideman rose in the box to meet Nagatomo's delivery and head past Abbiati.
