“We produced a really good performance against a very technical and strong side. We’ll find our sharpness from now until 19 August, which is only normal. We had to dig in at the start, but then we organised ourselves well, improved our game management and created opportunities. We fell behind following a great strike from Vitinha but then did well to turn things around. When we return, we’ll work on our sharpness. The workload is high and we’ve been doing well, even in the heat. We’ll try to make further improvements. The lads have shown great willingness, and I’m happy with how they’re training. We’ve been working since 13 July, while our internationals arrived on the 18th. There’s a lot of room for improvement, but I’m happy with the application I see from the lads on a daily basis. Our tour in Japan has gone well. We’ve worked a lot, and, despite the heat and the fact it’s difficult to adjust to the time difference, I’m satisfied. The boys have displayed fantastic commitment. ”
