Inter on target in 12 consecutive home games against Juve

Inter have scored in their last 12 home matches against the Bianconeri, netting a total of 20 goals. The Nerazzurri last failed to score against the Turin outfit on 27 February 1999, when they were held 0-0 in Milan. Inter last notched a 12-game scoring run in home games against Juventus between the 1983/84 and 1993/94 seasons.

Mourinho's 100th match in charge of Inter

Inter v Juventus marks José Mourinho's 100th match as coach of the Nerazzurri after 71 in Serie A, 8 in the Coppa Italia, 18 in the Champions League and 2 in the Italian Super Cup. Mourinho's first game in charge of Inter was the 8-7 penalties win over Roma in the 2008 Italian Super Cup on 24 August 2008.

Nerazzurri yet to concede at home in second half of season

Inter haven't let in a goal at home in Serie A since Maccarone's effort in the 65th minute of Inter 4-3 Siena on 9 January 2010. Inter have since hosted AC Milan (2-0), Cagliari (3-0), Sampdoria (0-0), Genoa (0-0), Livorno (3-0) and Bologna (3-0), without conceding a single goal.

Inter unbeaten at home in 41 games (46 in Italian tournaments, 38 in Serie A)

The Nerazzurri have won 30 home games and drawn 11 since their last defeat, a 1-0 reverse against Panathinaikos in the Champions League on 26 November 2008. In Italian tournaments Inter are unbeaten at home in 46 matches, having won 34 and drawn 12 since their 2-1 defeat to Juventus on 22 March 2008. That loss was also Inter's last home defeat in Serie A. They have since played 38 league games at home, winning 28 and drawing 10.

Eto'o+Milito: Serie A's most potent strike force

Samuel Eto'o and Diego Milito form the most decisive strike partnership in this season's Serie A championship. Their goals have earned Inter 33 points (18 Eto'o, 15 Milito).

Balotelli & goals against Juventus

Mario Balotelli has scored more against Juventus than any other team, with 4 of his 27 goals coming in games against the Bianconeri.

Second-worst season of all time for Juventus

Juventus have lost 12 of their 33 Serie A games this season, matching their number of defeats in 1948/49 and 1956/57. In those two seasons the Bianconeri finished fourth and joint-ninth with Spal. The Turin club's worst-ever season was in 1961/62 when they lost 15 games to finish joint-twelfth with Venezia.

No Juve clean sheet in 15 away games

Juventus have conceded in their last 15 away games, letting in a total of 28 goals. The Bianconeri last kept a clean sheet on the road on 3 November 2009, when they beat Maccabi Haifa 1-0 in the Champions League.

Juve: no 0-0 draw in 66 league games

The Bianconeri's last 0-0 draw in Serie A was away to Sampdoria on 27 September 2008. They have since played 66 league games.

Huge milestone for Zanetti

By appearing against Juventus, Javier Zanetti will play his 500th match in Italy's Serie A championship. The Argentine made his Serie A debut in a 1-0 home win over Vicenza on 27 August 1995.

MILAN - Maicon and Samuel Eto'o scored in the second half as Inter reclaimed the Serie A top spot ahead of Sunday's Rome derby.

The Brazil full-back broke the deadlock with a sweet strike on 75 minutes and the Cameroon striker finished off a text-book move in injury time to give José Mourinho's side a two-point lead over the Giallorossi.

It was the perfect result for Mourinho on his 100th match in charge of Inter, and for captain Javier Zanetti who made his 100th appearance in Serie A.

Juventus made a fast start at the Giuseppe Meazza but were delivered a blow in the 37th minute when Sissoko was dismissed for a second yellow card.

The Bianconeri were first to threaten, their captain Del Piero forcing a terrific diving save from Julio Cesar in the second minute. But Inter gave as good as they got and Thiago Motta tested Buffon with a crisp strike from 25 yards.

It seemed plain sailing after the dismissal of Sissoko but time was needed to break the Bianconeri down after near-range misses by Eto'o and Milito, and Buffon's tipped save from Stankovic.

Maicon produced the opener with fifteen minutes remaining. Juventus failed to clear Sneijder's corner and the Brazilian juggled the ball past Amauri before crashing a right-footed volley past Buffon from 20 yards.

The woodwork stopped Balotelli from doubling Inter's lead on 80 minutes - the Italian's superb free kick bouncing back off the crossbar.

Julio Cesar made a brilliant save from Diego's curling free kick to deny the Bianconeri a late equaliser, but Inter weren't done and Eto'o made sure of the points in the second minute of injury time.

Milito played wide to the unmarked Muntari on the left and the Ghanaian swung in a low cross for Eto'o to slot home.
