Napoli host leaders Internazionale at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona on Saturday in a match between the top two sides in the Serie A standings.
Internazionale are a point clear of second-placed Napoli at the top of the table with 14 matches left. The Partenopei lead fifth-placed Atalanta by nine points in the Champions League race.
When the two sides last met in Serie A action, Inter emerged victorious 3-2 at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in November. Hakan Calhanoglu struck first for the Nerazzurri in the 25th minute from the spot.
Lautaro Martínez has scored four Serie A goals against Napoli, only scoring more against Cagliari (six) in the competition; the Inter striker has, however, failed to score in his last five league matches, only have a longer run without a goal once previously Italian top-flight (seven in August 2019).
Martínez and Edin Dzeko have been the most prolific players for Inter, netting 11 and nine times, respectively. Martínez ranks fourth in the league's scoring charts in 2021/2022, while Dzeko is eighth.
Mertens, Victor Osimhen, and Lorenzo Insigne have made a difference in crucial moments for Napoli this season. Mertens is the team's top scorer with seven goals, followed by Osimhen with six and Insigne with five.
