He was instrumental in Inter winning their Second Star, producing decisive saves throughout the campaign: against Napoli, the stunning stop at Empoli, denying Mateo Retegui at home to Genoa, crucial interventions against Roma, saving Nico Gonzalez’s penalty in Florence, and helping guide the team through the title-winning derby. That historic night brought his first Scudetto and cemented the bond between him and the Nerazzurri of Milano.

That bond only grew stronger, reaching its peak against Barcelona. San Siro was at his feet after a legendary display that earned its place in Inter history. He denied Eric Garcia with an astonishing reflex save when the goal seemed certain, before producing one outstanding stop after another.
