REGGIO CALABRIA - Inter followed up last week's Milan derby victory with an emphatic 4-0 win against Reggina at the Granillo to close the gap on Serie A leaders Juventus to eight points with one match to go until the Christmas break.

Roberto Mancini stuck with the starting line-up that beat Milan 3-2 last Sunday, and the Nerazzurri obliged as Cordoba, Martins, Adriano and Pizarro scored in a devastating display to extend Inter's unbeaten run to eleven matches.

Cordoba opened the scoring with Inter's fastest goal of the season in the second minute, slotting a loose ball past Pavarini after the Reggina keeper punched clear a Veron inswinger.

Thirteen minutes after the Colombian defender's third league goal this term Obafemi Martins added Inter's second and his sixth of the season with an unstoppable header from Figo's first-time ball in from the right.

Derby hero Adriano made the result safe five minutes before the break with his ninth Serie A 2005/06 effort, a precise left-foot shot after some excellent approach play by Luis Figo.

The Portguese winger, who went close to adding to the lead after the restart when his blistering right-foot shot from 20 yards shaved the Reggina crossbar, created Inter's fourth with his third assist of the game when in the second minute of overtime he put Pizarro through on goal. The Chilean midfielder rounded Pavarini then lifted the ball over the Reggina custodian to net his first Serie A goal for the Nerazzurri.
