One Inter defeat in last 29 Serie A home games

Inter have lost just one of their last 29 Serie A fixtures at home (the 1-2 defeat against Juventus on 22 March), winning 24 and drawing 4 of the other 28 games.

Nerazzurri goalless at home just once in 64 league matches

Inter have failed to score in only one of their last 64 Serie A matches at home (Inter 0-0 Genoa on 26 October 2008). The Nerazzurri have scored a total of 139 goals in the other 63 matches.

Inter scorers into double figures

Ten different Inter players have scored Serie A goals this term - more than any other team. In alphabetical order, they are Adriano, Cordoba, Cruz, Ibrahimovic, Maicon, Muntari, Obinna, Samuel, Stankovic and Vieira.

Samuel & goals against Chievo

Walter Adrian Samuel, who scored Inter's quick opener against Napoli last weekend, has scored more against Chievo than any other team. Of his 18 goals for Italian clubs, the Argentine defender has scored 3 against the Gialloblu.

Inter, Chievo & substitutions

Inter and Chievo are two of six 2008/09 Serie A teams to have used all 45 substitutions after 15 rounds of matches. The other four teams are Bologna, Fiorentina, Genoa and Napoli.

Bentivoglio set for 100th appearance

If selected to play against Inter, Chievo midfielder Simone Bentivoglio will complete a century of appearances since turning professional. Bentivoglio, who has worn the shirts of Mantova, Modena and Chievo, has played 10 times in Serie A, 88 times in Serie B and once in Coppa Italia. He made his debut in Mantova 3-2 Cesena on 10 September 2005.

No Chievo goal from substitutes

None of Chievo's goals in this season's Serie A championship have come from substitutes. There are two other teams yet to score from subs: Bologna and Reggina.

MILAN - Inter open up a nine-point lead at the top of the table ahead of tonight's match between Juventus and AC Milan with an action-filled 4-2 victory over Chievo.

Maxwell got the Nerazzurrri off to the perfect start and Dejan Stankovic added a quick second just after the break, but Chievo produced a strong reaction with goals from Pellissier and Bentivoglio.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic headed Inter back in front and with two minutes remaining scored the kind of goal that only Zlatan Ibrahimovic scores to make it seven Serie A wins in a row.

Mourinho made one change to the team that beat Lazio last weekend, bringing in Obinna for the injured Julio Cruz.

Inter started as they did at the Olimpico last Saturday, with Maxwell latching on to Stankovic's through pass and sidestepping Frey before firing into the roof of the net to become the eleventh Inter player to hit the target this season.

Stankovic went close to a second before half-time when his close-range header forced a one-handed save from Sorrentino, doubling Inter's lead just after the break when he fired low past the Chievo keeper after Ibrahimovic's backheeled pass from Maicon's cross.

Chievo reduced the arrears through their captain Pellissier, who shot low into the bottom right corner a minute after testing Julio Cesar with a header, and Bentivoglio brought the visitors level with a close range shot from Mantovani's left-wing cross to celebrate his 100th appearance in professional football.

Inter came back at the Verona outfit and restored their lead when Figo played in Maicon on the right and the Brazilian crossed for Ibrahimovic to head beyond Sorrentino.

Di Carlo's team played the final minutes with ten men after Morero was sent marching for a second booking.

Zlatan saved his best for last, bringing the house down with a ferocious first-time shot from Stankovic's cross that flew into the top corner.
