Inter one away from second consecutive Serie A season with home defeat

José Mourinho is one game away from ending his second consecutive Serie A season without a home defeat. Last year, his Inter side won 14 games and drew 5. This season, the Nerazzurri have won 14 and drawn 4. In total, Mourinho's team have played 37 Serie A games at home, winning 28 games and drawing 9.

Diego Milito one of two top scorers for Italian clubs in 2009/10

With 26 goals in all competitions this season (20 in Serie A, 2 in Coppa Italia and 4 in Champions League), Diego Milito is one of the two most prolific strikers for Italian clubs in 2009/10. The other player is Udinese's Di Natale.

Inter unbeaten in 44 home games (40 in Serie A)

The Nerazzurri have won 33 and drawn 11 at home since their last defeat at the San Siro, a 1-0 reverse against Panathinaikos in the Champions League on 26 November 2008. In Serie A, Inter are unbeaten at home in 40 matches, having won 30 and drawn 10 since their 2-1 defeat to Juventus on 22 March 2008.

Best attack versus best away defence

Inter have scored more than any other team in the 2009/10 Serie A with 70 goals, while Chievo have the best defence away from home with just 17 goals conceded.

Bogdani set to make 300rd appearance for Italian clubs

If he plays against Inter in Serie A Week 37, Erjon Bogdani will make his 300th appearance for Italian clubs. His 299 appearances are subdivided as follows: 174 in Serie A, 106 in Serie B, 16 in Coppa Italia and 3 in other tournaments. The Albanian forward, who made his Italian football debut in Reggina's 1-0 Serie A home win over Bologna on 6 February 2000, has played for Reggina, Salernitana, Verona, Chievo and Livorno.

Record number of away victories in one Serie A season for Chievo

MILAN - Inter beat Chievo in a seven-goal show at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza and for 75 minutes the Scudetto was on its way to Milan, but the title race will go down to the wire as Roma came from behind to beat Cagliari 2-1.

Esteban Cambiasso, Diego Milito and Mario Balotelli scored after a pair of own goals to maintain Inter's two-point advantage over the Giallorossi going into the final day of the season.

Granoche reduced the arrears for Chievo and Pellissier struck with sixteen minutes left as the Nerazzurri were made to work hard for the points.

It was all Inter from the word go and Stankovic fired an early warning when his splendid long-range effort bounced off the top of the crossbar.

But Chievo edged in front against the run of play on 12 minutes when Luciano's free kick from the right went in off Thiago Motta.

The visitors' lead lasted all of sixty seconds and the equaliser was another own goal with Mantovani inadvertently back-heeling Eto'o's shot into his own net.

The 75,000 spectators were treated to display of relentless attacking for the rest of the first half.

On 35 minutes Cambiasso robbed Sardo and set up a counter-attack, finishing it off with a angled shot from Maicon's cross at the far post.

Four minutes later Milito added his 21st of the Serie A season with an effort to savour. Eto'o played in his strike partner and the Prince caught Sorrentino on the hop with a sublime lob.

Inter opened up a three-goal cushion seven minutes after the restart and it was a case of anything you can do, I can do too as Balotelli latched on to Maicon's beautifully-timed long-range pass and emulated Milito by lifting the ball over Sorrentino.

To their credit, Chievo never stopped fighting and the Flying Donkeys pulled a goal back on 60 minutes when Granoche diverted Marcolini's shot beyond Julio Cesar.

Inter suddenly had a game on their hands when Chievo captain Pellissier went through on goal and fired past Julio Cesar to make it 4-3 with just over a quarter of an hour remaining.

Sorrentino made a fine save from Eto'o and substitute Pandev crashed a shot against the post as Inter created plenty of chances to build on their lead.
