Serie A century for Zauri

ROME - Inter's run of six consecutive championship wins came to an end at the Olimpico on Sunday as Lazio won the Serie A Week 14 evening kick-off 2-1.

Christian Vieri put the Nerazzurri in front on the half hour with a shot from close range after Sereni fumbled Recoba's curled cross in from the left.

The Biancocelesti equalised just before the break when Stankovic played a spectacular left-wing cross to Corradi, who from the edge of the six-yard box found the net with the outside of his right foot.

Almeyda's sending-off in the 69th minute made things difficult for the Nerazzurri and Lazio took advantage. Zauri hit the winner with less than ten minutes remaining, a placed effort at the far post from Delgado's left-wing cross to send Inter to their first Serie A defeat under Zaccheroni.

Inter host Lecce when championship action returns on 6 January.
