No Lazio win in 13 games against Inter

The Biancocelesti haven't beaten Inter since their 2-1 Serie A victory in Rome on 21 December 2003, when Corradi and Zauri scored to seal a comeback after Vieri's opening goal. In the 13 Serie A and Coppa Italia meetings with Inter since that date, Lazio have collected 7 draws and 6 defeats.

Delio Rossi's prolific substitutes

Six of Lazio's league goals this season have come from substitutes - that's more than any other team. Rocchi, Foggia and Simone Inzaghi have come off the bench to score three times, twice and once respectively.

Lazio goalless in one of last 20 Serie A home games

Lazio have failed to score at home in the Serie A in just one of their last 20 matches (Lazio 0-1 Napoli on 26 October 2008). In the other 19 games the Biancocelesti have scored a total of 33 goals.

Nine different players on target in 2008/09

Nine different Inter players have scored Serie A goals this term - more than any other team. In alphabetical order, they are Adriano, Cordoba, Cruz, Ibrahimovic, Maicon, Muntari, Obinna, Stankovic and Vieira.

Inter: 23 points from last 9 league games

The Nerazzurri have won 7 Serie A games and drawn 2 since their 1-0 derby defeat to AC Milan on 28 September. Inter go into Saturday's Lazio clash on the back of five straight league victories, having last failed to win on 29 October when they were held to a goalless draw at Fiorentina.

Adri, Cruz, Samuel, Obinna & goals in December

Four Inter players count December as their month prolific month of the Serie A calendar. Adriano has scored 15 of his 75 Italian league goals in the twelfth calendar month, Cruz 11 of 76 (same in April), Obinna 4 of 20 and Samuel 4 of 14.

ROME - Walter Samuel scored inside two minutes, Mobido Diakité scored an own goal on the stroke of half time, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic wrapped up a comfortable victory ten minutes after the break as Inter beat Lazio 3-0.

The convincing victory sees Mourinho's Nerazzurri open up a nine-point lead at the top of the Serie A table with second-place teams AC Milan and Juventus in action on Sunday.

Lazio went into Saturday's Olimpico clash bolstered by their midweek Coppa Italia victory over AC Milan, but suffered an early setback as Inter made the perfect start.

Less than two minutes in, Samuel crashed home his header from Muntari's left-wing centre after Stankovic's corner was clumsily cleared.

Delio Rossi's men appeared visibly stunned but regained composure as the minutes ticked by. Kolarov, Zarate and Dabo hit shots wide, with De Silvestri having one effort deflected off Maxwell and another saved by Julio Cesar.

Injuries forced both tacticians into early changes to their attacks, with Crespo replacing Cruz and Rocchi coming on for Pandev on the half hour.

Ibrahimovic and Crespo missed the target from good positions as Inter looked to build on their lead, and went into the break with a two-goal cushion when Diakité unwittingly turned into his own net after beating Crespo to Maicon's cross.

Any chances of a Lazio comeback were crushed ten minutes after the interval when Ibrahimovic rose in the box to head home Cambiasso's inswinging free kick.

The visitors sat on their lead and Kolarov had a goal from a free kick disallowed before Julio Cesar made good saves from Rocchi and Zarate's low shots.

Crespo could have made extra sure of the points but Kolarov made a last-gasp inteception to deny the Argentine. In time added on, Ibrahimovic sidefooted wide a Figo pass before Julio Cesar kept out Kolarov's free kick.
