Handanovic: “The league will be competitive. We'll do our talking on the pitch”

APPIANO GENTILE - A total of five years have passed since Samir Handanovic made his debut with the Nerazzurri: “I still remember that game,” said the Slovenian shot-stopper to the Inter Channel. “We were playing against Hajduk in Split.”

Following his debut, the goalkeeper has since gone onto become a key figure within the team and is sure to feature once again next year: “We have finished the tour and will now keep working from Appiano in preparation for the two final matches of pre-season. I expect it to be a positive season but I don’t like to make proclamations, we must do our talking out on the pitch. Earning results will be the product of our daily work.”

There are now less than 20 days remaining until Inter’s first official game of the Serie A TIM 2017-18 season, as they prepare to take on Fiorentina at the San Siro: “It will be a balanced championship and one that is highly competitive,” he concluded. “There are a lot of teams who will be competing for the higher league positions.”
