Here are all the facts and figures that you need to know ahead of the matchday 38 fixture in Serie A TIM

MILAN - In collaboration with Opta, here are all the stats that you need to know ahead of Sunday’s game in Rome between Lazio and Inter.

The match at the Stadio Olimpico will be the 150th encounter between the two sides in Serie A. The Nerazzurri have recorded 61 wins to Lazio’s 35, while there have also been 53 draws. Inter have triumphed in four of their last eight Serie A matches against Lazio, with the Biancocelesti succeeding twice.

The most common scoreline between Inter and Lazio in Serie A has been 1-1 (on 28 occasions), with the last one coming in March 2008. The Biancocelesti have failed to score in two of their last three top-tier fixtures against Inter, having previously scored in all of their last 12. These two teams have not drawn at the Olimpico in Serie A since March 2008 - with the team from the capital recording five wins to Inter’s four in this period.

Lazio have not lost in the league since March 3rd when they were beaten by Juventus. Their unbeaten streak of 10matches (5W, 5D) is currently the longest streak in Serie A.

This has already been Lazio’s best ever season in Serie A in terms of points (72, as in 1999/2000) and goals scored (87). They’ve also secured 21 wins in Serie A, never before picking up more in a single season. Meanwhile, Inter’s points tally is their best since the 2010-11 campaign (76 that year) and they’ve conceded their fewest number of goals since 2007-08, when they concluded the season with 26.

Both teams are joint top in terms of headed goals this season (14 each), while they’ve also scored the most goals from crosses (18 for Inter and 16 for Lazio). Notably, Lazio are the team who’ve scored most goals from set pieces (27), while Inter have conceded the least goals from dead-ball situations (only six).

Mauro Icardi is just one goal away from becoming the eighth player to score 100 Serie A goals for Inter. Rafinha has been involved in at least one goal in four of his last five games in Serie A - including two decisive assists and two goals. Milan Skriniar and Samir Handanovic have both played in every league match so far, and this Sunday could each become the fourth and fifth players respectively to play all 38 Serie A matches for Inter over the last 10 years. The others were Candreva in 2016-17, Julio Cesar in 2009-10 and Javier Zanetti on two separate occasions.
