Genoa 0 - 6 Inter Women

RAPALLO - Inter put on a great show in Rapallo with De La Fuente’s side beating Genoa 6-0 to go top of the table on 12 points. On matchday 4 in Serie B, a hat-trick from Baresi along with goals from Pandini, Costi and Santi brought home the win.

Sebastian De La Fuente’s side showed the right determination early on at the Stadio Umberto Macera. After four minutes, Baresi made the most of a misplaced backpass from Ferrario to fire Inter ahead. The Nerazzurre continued to cause problems for Genoa after taking the lead. In the 31st minute, Regina Baresi made it two with a goal from the spot. With three minutes left in the half, Pandini beat Pignagnoli after getting on the end of a perfect cross from Regazzoli. There was time for another chance for Baresi who hit the bar in the 45th minute.

The Nerazzurre went on the attack at the start of the second half. In the 49th minute, Costi headed home from a Brustia corner to make it 4-0. Inter didn’t settle and scored another two goals between the 67th and 71st minutes. First, Santi applied the finish after a corner before the captain completed her hat-trick. Costi almost made it 0-7 but was denied by the post. At the end, Genoa had their only real chance but with Schroffenegger beaten, Pellens did brilliantly to clear Cama’s shot off the line.
