UEL: Learn more about Eintracht Frankfurt

MILAN - On 7th March, Inter will be in action at the Commerzbank-Arena as they take on Eintracht Frankfurt in their round of 16 first leg in the UEFA Europa League. The second part of the tie will be played at the Meazza on 14th March.

Eintracht’s Europa League journey so far:

Under Coach Adi Hütter, Eintracht Frankfurt picked up maximum points in Group H, scoring 17 goals and conceding just five. They also cruised through the last round after beating Shakhtar Donetsk 4-1 at home and drawing 2-2 away.

Inter have never played Eintracht Frankfurt in a European competition up until now. However, they have played on 18 occasions against German teams in the UEFA Cup/Europa League. Their last fixture was in the Europa League round of 16 in 2014-15 when the Nerazzurri were eliminated by Wolfsburg.

The only time Eintracht previously played against an Italian side in the Europa League was against during their two victories against Lazio this season.

Ivan Perisic previously scored against Eintracht for Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga back in August 2015.
