Do you have five minutes? Just enough time for a quick brace!

MILAN - Diego Milito’s first brace in a Nerazzurri shirt came during Cagliari vs. Inter, two goals scored in five minutes to turn things around in Sardinia. Let’s now take a look at some of the quickest and most impressive braces from the past 20 years.

Samuel Eto’o only needed five minutes to score twice against Livorno back on 24 March 2010. He scored his first following a through ball from Thiago Motta, while he then completed his brace with a magnificent bicycle kick. It was during this same game that Chivu made his return to the team following his head injury, wearing his now-famous scrum cap.

In terms of quickest doubles scored, Ronaldo, Adriano, Banega and Brozovic are all within the three-minute mark.

On 29 December 2001, Vieri opened the scoring against Verona before the Fenomeno sealed the win with two goals in 180 seconds. The first was a from Conceicao-cross, while the second saw him break free from the visiting defence and dribble past Ferron.

That same season also score him scythe down the opposition in three minutes, this time beating Castellazzi between the sticks. His second came just before the final whistle, with a powerful long-range strike to complete the comeback.

As for Udinese’s defence, they suffered three minutes of terror back on 17 October 2004. Adriano was the protagonist that day, as he dispatched of the Bianconeri backline in just 11 minutes. His first was a fierce free-kick, while his second saw him leave three defenders for dead and easily find the corner of the net.

On 12 March 2017, Banega struck with the goals to make it 4-0 and then 5-0 within the span of three minutes. It took Brozovic as long against Benevento to score the two goals that were enough to leave with the three points, the Croatian first netting with a header and then from a free kick.

One of Vieri’s quickest braces came in a matter of seconds against Piacenza during the 2002/03 campaign. Batistuta opened the scoring for the Nerazzurri before Vieri struck with two simple goals to down the opposition defence.

One minute. It’s hard to think of what you can do in such a short span of time. For Stankovic, and Icardi, 60 seconds were enough to score two goals.

Icardi’s came during a 0-5 win at Sampdoria. The Argentine scored four goals that day, his first coming from the penalty spot to hit 100 goals for Inter and the second was a magnificent backheel.

It was almost a case of déjà vu for Dejan Stankovic. During a 5-2 win against Parma, the ‘Drago’ scored his only brace for Inter with two goals in 60 seconds. The goals were almost carbon copies, both coming from Biabiany assists before deflected long shots to spur on Inter’s comeback win. In addition to taking the match ball after the game, he also had the honour of the quickest one-two punch in Club history.
